Privacy, cookies, and measurement choices

Optional article and ebook measurement

When a paid link includes a Google Ads click ID or campaign value, we ask before remembering it. If you allow measurement, Pragma Vision LLC stores those allowlisted values in the first-party pv_ad_attribution cookie for up to 30 days. If you later open an ebook checkout, the values are sent to Lemon Squeezy with the checkout, and a completed purchase may be reported to Google Ads as a conversion measurement.

We do not use this optional record to personalize article content. Rejecting or taking no action creates no attribution cookie. Direct checkout remains available without optional campaign values.

Browser storage used by Pragma.Vision

Essential storage supports a service you request, such as signing in and keeping the account navigation accurate. It is not used for advertising and does not require the optional measurement choice below. Pragma.Vision does not enable optional measurement by default.

Essential account and interface storage

access_token Essential cookie

Authenticates a signed-in request to account, Watch, and Lens functions. It is created only after sign-in and lasts until the identity provider's access-token expiry, normally no more than one hour.

refresh_token Essential cookie

Renews a signed-in session without repeatedly asking you to authenticate. It is created only when the identity provider issues one and lasts for up to 30 days.

pv_signed_in Essential cookie

Holds only a yes/no signed-in hint so the navigation can show the correct account links while the server verifies the session. It contains no access token, identity, or profile data and lasts no longer than the renewable session, up to 30 days.

pv:session:v2 Essential session storage

Caches the most recent signed-in/not-signed-in result for 30 seconds to avoid repeated session probes. It contains no token or identity and is cleared when the browser tab's session ends.

The access and refresh cookies are first-party, Secure, HttpOnly, and SameSite=Lax. pv_signed_in is first-party, Secure, and SameSite=Lax but deliberately readable by this site's navigation code because it carries only the non-authoritative yes/no hint.

Optional measurement storage

pv_ad_measurement_consent Choice cookie

Remembers only granted or denied for up to six months so we do not repeatedly ask.

pv_ad_attribution Optional cookie

Stores allowlisted click and campaign values for up to 30 days, only while your choice is granted.

Both cookies are first-party, Secure, HttpOnly, and SameSite=Lax. Withdrawing deletes the attribution cookie immediately and prevents future forwarding. It cannot automatically retract processing already completed by Lemon Squeezy or Google Ads before withdrawal.

Lemon Squeezy operates the hosted checkout reached after you choose to buy. Storage used on that checkout is controlled by the checkout provider and is not written by this app before the redirect.

Aggregate traffic measurement

Every page loads Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts page views and basic performance timings so we can tell human readers apart from the automated crawlers that make up most of our traffic. It is cookieless: it sets no cookie, writes nothing to your browser storage, and does not assign you an identifier that could follow you across sites or visits. Because it stores nothing on your device and cannot single you out, it needs no consent banner and appears nowhere in the storage list above.

What we can see is aggregate only — counts of page views, referring sites, country, device type and load timings. Cloudflare already operates our network and is listed as a service provider in our privacy policy. We use no advertising or cross-site tracking analytics.

Other information and your rights

We also process information you choose to provide for accounts, newsletter or feedback forms, watches, contributions, and purchases, plus limited request and security data needed to operate and protect the service. We do not sell personal information. Infrastructure, authentication, email, database, storefront, and payment providers receive only the data needed to perform their role.
