Why
The guidance is final v1.0 and co-authored by three US agencies (NIST CAISSI, NSA SISC, CISA). It maps its practices to CSF 2.0 and SP 800-61r3 identifiers, so it can be adopted as a checklist, and industry vendors gave feedback on it. It is only days old, voluntary, and openly lists nine unsolved areas, including severity scoring and monitoring baselines. We found no independent coverage or adoption evidence. It is a useful reference taxonomy for agent control incidents, not a validated implementation standard.
Next
Map practices 1.1-1.7, 3.3 and 6.2 onto our own agent guardrails as a self-check. Re-check in about 3 months for severity-score work, independent commentary and any NIST CAISSI follow-up phase.
