What the current evidence supports

Human editorial judgment · 2026-10-21

Proceed with caution

Why
The weights are generally available on Hugging Face, three major clouds and seven API hosts, with SGLang/vLLM/TensorRT-LLM support at release and TorchTitan fine-tuning, and agent benchmarks are strong (MCP-Atlas 89.2). Against that, the Hugging Face repo is gated, the license carries a $20M revenue clause for model-as-a-service providers and mandatory attribution, self-hosting needs 700GB to 2TB of VRAM, and the numbers are Meta's own while the full evaluation report is still pending.
Next
Test it through a hosted API (OpenRouter, Together AI or Fireworks AI) on your own coding and agent tasks, have legal read the Muse Model License text, and recheck once Meta publishes the full evaluation report.
