Real, fast-growing industry adoption (60 to 73+ firms across 17 countries within the launch window) and a concrete 9-principle framework exist, and CREST has already begun shipping accreditable standards (2 live as of 2026-07-20) — but founding signatories are still only ~10% of CREST's membership and most assurance scope (SOC, incident response, threat intelligence, broader AI security testing) remains unassessable, so it is not yet a broad citable assurance credential.

Re-check in Q4 2026 whether CREST has extended independently-assessable AI standards/accreditation beyond the initial Responsible AI Use and AI-Enabled Penetration Testing standards to cover Security Testing of AI, SOC, Incident Response and Threat Intelligence (all still 'Coming Soon' as of 2026-07-20); only then consider referencing the Charter as a broad external trust/assurance signal.
