What the current evidence supports

Track; not yet

Why
The only hard milestone is a DOE design-safety agreement (NSDA) dated 2026-10-23. It is a real regulatory gate and follows Mark-0's criticality (2026-06-04, eight months after its NSDA), and BWXT fuel supply (initial 1 MTU, 2026-10-27) adds supply-chain substance. But Mark-1 has not been built or run, electricity production is untested, Mark-0 itself generated no power, the operating campaign is a 2027 company target, and the evidence is almost entirely company announcements and trade press.
Next
Watch for DOE approval of Mark-1's Preliminary Documented Safety Analysis and Documented Safety Analysis, the start of construction at INL, and the first power-generation data from the planned 2027 campaign.
