What is UNCOVERseq (IDT off-target CRISPR nomination method)?

UNCOVERseq is a sequencing-based method for nominating candidate off-target sites of CRISPR gene-editing reagents, using genome-wide, cell-based assays to detect unintended cutting or editing events introduced by a guide RNA and nuclease combination. It is intended to help researchers assess the specificity of a CRISPR editing strategy before downstream use, by flagging genomic loci that warrant closer validation rather than by directly confirming or ruling out off-target activity by itself.
