What is Intel Hala Point?

Intel Hala Point is a large-scale neuromorphic computing system built from many Loihi processor chips connected together, simulating a very large number of artificial neurons and synapses using spiking, brain-inspired computation instead of conventional matrix-multiplication neural networks. It is built as a research-scale system for exploring how neuromorphic architectures perform on large AI workloads with substantially lower energy use than GPU-based training and inference.
