What is IBM/NASA Prithvi (2.0 + Weather-Climate)?

Prithvi is a family of open-source geospatial and weather foundation models developed by IBM and NASA, pretrained on satellite imagery and atmospheric reanalysis data to learn general representations of Earth's land surface and climate system. The models can be fine-tuned for tasks such as flood mapping, crop monitoring, wildfire detection, and short-term weather prediction without training a new model from scratch for each application.
