What is Equatic Commercial mCDR Plant?

Equatic is a marine carbon dioxide removal process that runs an electric current through seawater to split it into acidic and alkaline streams, precipitating solid calcium carbonate and magnesium hydroxide minerals that lock away carbon while co-producing hydrogen gas. The carbon-depleted seawater is returned to the ocean, where it draws down additional carbon dioxide from the atmosphere to re-establish equilibrium, and the hydrogen byproduct can be sold or used to help power the process itself.
