What is Commonwealth Fusion SPARC?

SPARC is a compact tokamak fusion device developed by Commonwealth Fusion Systems that uses high-temperature superconducting magnets to confine and compress a deuterium-tritium plasma into a much smaller reactor volume than earlier tokamak designs, aiming to demonstrate that the fusion reaction gives back more energy than it takes to sustain the magnetic field and heat the plasma.
